Mechanics in London and quick Lubes and the College Of Trades

This site has been a place to show some of our work , describe and photograph things that people may be interested in and maybe create awareness about an automotive problem that exists on the vehicles we see . The reason I am writing today is because myself and our technicians are questioning the College of Trades decision to allow fast Lube shops to not be part of the College .
I will list the reasons why here .
1) Vehicles arrive at these locations as a preparation for a road trip and the ” technicians ” make safety comments as I’ve seen on Mr Lubes You Tube videos . These inspections are inadequate due to the lack of persons qualifications and thorough recognized training or apprenticeship hours logged in a real shop . we have seen missed steel cords coming out of tires , missed steering tie rods and wheel bearings falling off , missed axle seal leaking , missed low brake pads that could have been noticed while peeking through back of rim or front side of rim through open spokes if that type .
