How do I know if I need a new clutch in London Ontario

A clutch that slips means that when you are in first gear and trying to accelerate away from a corner you release pedal but its like the pedal is still pressed and you can’t go like you want . This slipping clutch also can be felt when in 5th gear and the engine revs when you get on gas and it feels like the clutch pedal is being slightly pushed thus slipping . I suggest getting to the shop for a road test and if the vehicle is adjustable then getting an adjustment .
